Polar Bear PlungeIn 2008 and 2009 the members of the Medford Township Police Departmenthave participated as a team at the Polar Bear Plunge in Wildwood. TheMedford Police team took the plunge with over 3000 other participantsto raise funding and awareness for Special Olympics of New Jersey.Plunges are sponsored by the Law Enforcement Torch Run, a volunteereffort by the Law Enforcement community of New Jersey. The LawEnforcement Torch Run for Special Olympics New Jersey was rankednumber two in the world for raising more than $2 million in 2007. In 2008the Medford Township Police team was the team recognized as having theLargest number of participants and raising the most money for the cause. | ||
